We’re about getting kids riding bikes in a safe, supportive and fun environment. We’re based at St Peter’s Primary School in Wrecclesham, Farnham, but maintain strong ties with WyndyMilla HQ. In fact, many of our coaches and volunteers ride with WyndyMilla.
Our focus is encouraging kids to develop great cycling skills that will inspire them to participate in a range of cycle-sport activities as they get older.
We develop the skills of road racing, cyclo-cross, track racing, BMX, mountain biking and cycle speedway as well as developing the basic riding and bike handling skills of our younger riders.
We take children from 6 to 16 years old and currently run three groups, named after famous British cyclists: Cavendish, Storey and Kenny. On joining the club, children are put into a group based on their cycling competence and confidence, but freely move between groups as the occasion, their skill level and the activity demand. Each group is overseen by a British Cycling-qualified coach, usually accompanied by a parent helper, and we base our coaching on British Cycling’s Gears programme. We’re also proud to be a British Cycling Clubmark club, which is your guarantee that we offer an outstanding environment in which children can learn to develop their cycling.
We’re so popular that we have a waiting list, which is a bit of a double-edged sword since, while it means we’re doing a great job, unfortunately newcomers must wait to access our club. We’re looking into ways to overcome this challenge, but in the meantime other Go Ride clubs are springing up in the area and we’re not precious – if you can find a space elsewhere, take it. We just want kids to love bikes!
Getting kids inspired to take part in cycle sport is our objective, but our methods mean that whatever we do, it’s inclusive, fun and child-centred.

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
”The effort British Cycling puts into identifying and nurturing talent is priceless. When I was 16, a coach and a van of bikes came to my school and gave us all a chance to ride. At the time, I didn’t really have a passion for cycling because it was new to me, but I loved it and have never looked back.” Lizzie Armitstead, 2015 World Champion (Talent spotted age 16)
There is currently a waiting list for spaces at our Go-Ride sessions. Please contact Susannah Hand (email@example.com) to be added to the waiting list.
We’re proud of the people who run WyndyMilla Kids. They’re dedicated, give their time freely and have the best interests of the children at heart.
